IPFW Womens Basketball Pink Out vs ORU

Today was the 5th annual IPFW Pink Out, a fundraiser and awareness drive to support the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer. Every year it’s always incredibly inspiring hearing stories of their fight and hearing how long some of these women have been cancer free (a couple were over 40 years, which is absolutely incredible and insanely inspiring). Fans were encouraged to wear pink, as well as coaches/staff sported pink shoes and socks. Even the officials get in on the action with pink whistles. It was a very physical and hard fought game, with an unfortunate drop to ORU in overtime after some highly debated calls between coaches/refs/fans. Here’s a few images from today.
